Rachana Ananthakrishnan, Globus Product Manager, University of Chicago
May 27, 2015 (All day)
The Operating Innovative Networks (OIN) workshop series is designed to equip university and laboratory network engineers with the knowledge and training needed to build next-gen campus networks that are optimized for data-intensive science. We collaborate closely with ESnet and other workshop organizers to educate research computing resource providers on running and optimizing Globus in the Science DMZ.
Rachana Ananthakrishnan will present a tutorial that includes the following topics:
We will be presenting an update on Globus, including new product features and enhancements to the service. We are also pleased to sponsor the Great Plains Network Annual Meeting again this year.
The Annual Meeting of the Great Plains Network and Greater Western Library Alliance brings together knowledge and information technology professionals including advanced network and cyberinfrastructure users, faculty members, researchers, librarians, information technology staff and graduate students from leading universities, and higher education networks.
We're excited to join our European colleagues at the European Globus Community Forum (EGCF), which is co-located with the European Grid Infrastructure (EGI) 2015 conference. The EGCF annual event provides a unique opportunity for Globus users Europe to familiarize themselves with recent developments and to introduce and discuss their work, challenges, solutions, and best practices within a community atmosphere. The event also gives participants the chance to provide feedback on Globus technologies, as well as present any Globus requirements they may have for their research.
The Third Annual NCSA Blue Waters Symposium will bring together leaders in petascale computational science and engineering and will be a tremendous opportunity for sharing successes and challenges in large-scale heterogeneous computing. Along with presentations from the Blue Waters science teams, the symposium will feature keynotes from innovative thinkers in science and will provide opportunities to share and discuss specific topics of interest. Steve Tuecke will be attending and will present a poster describing our work with Blue Waters.
