The RMACC HPC Symposium is the annual gathering of collaborating academic and research institutions located throughout the intermountain states to discuss the latest developments and best practices in high-performance research and campus computing. We look forward to engaging with new and prospective Globus users, and catching up with those who already use Globus for research data management.
The Operating Innovative Networks (OIN) workshop series is designed to equip university and laboratory network engineers with the knowledge and training needed to build next-gen campus networks that are optimized for data-intensive science. We collaborate closely with ESnet, Indiana University, Internet 2, and other workshop organizers to educate research computing and netwrok professionals on running and optimizing Globus in the Science DMZ.
Rachana will present a tutorial that includes the following topics:
Globus co-founder Ian Foster will be speaking on "Scaling the PRP Software Infrastructure to the NRP" at the First National Research Platform (NRP) workshop, held at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana on August 7 & 8, 2017. Foster is the Arthur Holly Compton Distinguished Service Professor for the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chicago, as well as Distinguished Fellow and Senior Scientist, MCS Division, Argonne National Lab.
The SDSC Summer Institute is a week-long workshop held at the University of California, San Diego that focuses on a broad spectrum of introductory-to-intermediate topics in High Performance Computing and Data Science. We are pleased to be invited to present an overview of Globus and demonstrate how the service may be used to manage research data.
We're thrilled to part of the Virtual Residency Summer Workshop on "How to Be a More Effective Research Computing Facilitator." We will be presenting an overview of the Globus service and how it may be used to streamline research workflows within and beyond campus boundaries. We also forward to participating in a panel discussion on "Working Effectively with Vendors" and hope to bring a different perspective to the conversation.
More information and a complete agenda is available on the workshop's web site.
