Managing Your Research Data Stored in the Cloud
Managing Your Research Data Stored in the Cloud - hosted by AWS
Data management is becoming increasingly complex. Data needs to be accessed, moved, shared, discovered, analyzed and published. Doing all of this in a cloud and hybrid storage environment results in many challenges. In this webinar we will discuss how to address these challenges, and hear from Michael Cianfrocco, at the University of Michigan, on how Globus together with AWS help him manage the massive amounts of research data generated by cryo-electron microscopes.
Michael A. Cianfrocco, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Department of Biological Chemistry
Research Assistant Professor, Life Sciences Institute
Dr. Cianfrocco is a faculty at the University of Michigan who uses single particle cryo-EM to determine the structures of biological macromolecules. To support research and education, Dr. Cianfrocco uses Globus for orchestrating data movement to supercomputing resources and the public cloud.
