  • I-Hotel and Conference Center, Champaign, IL

This workshop is presented in partnership with Advanced Cyberinfrastructure Research and Education Facilitators (ACI-REF) and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA). Professionals involved in operating and supporting campus shared research computing infrastructure are invited to join in this workshop event and share experiences and expertise. Steve Tuecke will present a lightning talk titled "What's new in Globus".

Abstract:The Globus service continues to evolve its web browser and REST interfaces for managing research data through its lifecycle. In the past year, Globus has added new data publication and discovery functionality, along with improvements to data transfer and sharing. And on February 13 we added identity and access management functionality that greatly simplifies access to Globus using campus logins, and integration of Globus, XSEDE and other research services into web and mobile applications. Steve will provide a brief overview of these new Globus capabilities, and discuss how they can be applied on your campuses — topics that will be explored in greater depth at GlobusWorld 2016 in April.
