Building a Genomic Data Repository Using the Globus Platform
New Zealand eScience Infrastructure (NeSI)
A few years ago NeSI adopted Globus as their de facto national data transfer platform for research. As the data lifecycle management protocols have changed, NeSI has worked to keep pace. Most recently this is illustrated through the development of building the Aotearoa Genomic Data Repository, where they leveraged Globus Auth and the Globus platform.
Bringing the National Data Transfer Platform online was truly a collaborative effort, involving coordination and cooperation between our international partner Globus, national partner REANNZ, and on a regional scale with several innovative research institutions. Our goal was to lower barriers and to normalise expectations of moving demanding volumes of data to enable data intensive science. "
